Welcome to Parkway West Band

The basic philosophy of the Parkway West Band Program is to maintain a balance of quality in all three curricular areas of the program: marching, concert, and jazz. Parkway West High School offers a variety of band experiences to suit each student's special talents. During the first quarter of school, members of the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Color Guard make up the Marching Band that performs at all home football games, as well as several parades and competitions. At the conclusion of marching season, all wind and percussion students continue their music education in Concert Band. The ensembles perform music of the highest quality stressing tone production, musicianship, an interpretation of various styles.
